Personal Logo Design
Here is a look at the process of my personal logo creation.
Research and Brainstorming
When I began researching what my logo could be, I began by looking at my own artwork in my portfolio and sought to make my logo reflective of artwork I create. While I have worked in many mediums and do not stick to one style, I knew I needed to keep my logo simple yet memorable.
Lastly, I researched artwork and mascot-based logos that were following the direction I wanted to take my logo. I found inspiration in artists who were able to make images their signature/logo rather than their actual printed name.

Rough Draft
In my rough drafts, I purely focused on the linework of my favorite logos because I wanted the line weight to be varied and interesting. At this point I had narrowed my selection to five logos and chose to do a few variations of those five logos.

Thumbnails
I made sure to go out of my comfort zone when I was making thumbnail sketches. I had an idea in my mind to contain a face in a shape for my logo, but I wanted to also explore the idea of adding text in certain designs. Some designs focused on specific parts of the face rather than having a whole face, but in the end my idea was close to what I had originally envisioned. The main difference from what I had in mind at the start was the added initials under the face part of the logo.

Final Design
My final design combined two rough comps I preferred the most. The main decision I had to make next was the color scheme. I started with my two favorite colors which are green and purple and decided to go for a triadic color scheme and added orange to finish it off. I also made a black and white variation for non-color printing and a more simplistic design.
